Did you know that internal organs can descend? This is called visceroptosis. Kidneys and intestines can descend, as can the stomach and pelvic organs. The main causes of organ descent are falls, injuries, rapid weight loss, weakness of the anterior abdominal wall, lack of tone in the abdominal muscles, or adhesions at the bottom that pull the organs down. You can lift the organs and put them in the correct position. You must eliminate the cause and work with the abdomen to do this. All of this is called ‘visceral self-massage’.
